Do Chlorine-based disinfectants damage ULV foggers?2022-05-24T07:24:36-04:00

Yes. Chlorine-based disinfectants are corrosive to metals.

When used in ULV foggers, chlorine-based disinfectants can damage spare parts or shorten the life of the fogger. Vectorfog foggers have the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and nozzle coated for protection against this.

You will need to put all the spare parts back to its original place and make sure that it fits perfectly without any wires coming out or slipping out of the case.

Note: Taking a picture/video of all the parts you’ll be removing helps to make sure that you’ll be putting it back in the right place.

Cleaning the nozzle cap without opening the unit is easy. You just need a mini screwdriver or anything alike that can fit onto the nozzle hole. Poke a few times to dislodge any solution build up.

You can get a screwdriver or any tool that can reach the wire mesh and dab it multiple times to loosen up any debris and solution build-up. Rinse the tank with water afterward.

A motor test can be done using different devices. You can follow the instruction provided on the device to successfully perform a motor test and make sure that it’s not a motor issue.

Spray test is important to ensure that the droplet size dial is properly working. Please turn on the unit and rotate the nozzle back and forth.

Make sure that you have all the proper tools before opening the unit. Remove all screws that attach the case to each other and set them aside in order to easily identify which part it is for. Slightly open the unit multiple times to loosen and remove the nozzle.

Note: Take a picture/video to make sure that all screws and parts are properly put back in their place.

Make sure that you have all the proper tools before opening the unit. Remove all screws that attach the case to each other and set them aside in order to easily identify which part it is for. Slightly open the unit multiple times to loosen and remove the nozzle.

After opening the unit unplug all wires and hoses that block the motor. Then, remove the screws of the top cover and warm the casing using the torch or blower to loosen up and easily remove the motor inside.

How do I remove/replace the air cap and nozzle cap of my ULV fogger?2022-05-31T11:17:06-04:00

There are two ways to remove the nozzle and air cap. First, you can remove it by using a torch/blower to warm and cut it. This method is used without opening the unit but you’ll have to replace it since it won’t be reusable. The second option is you’ll have to open the unit and remove the screws.

Please check the FAQ – How do I open the case of my ULV fogger to get the full instruction on removing the nozzle. To put the nozzle back, please use a rubber mallet to prevent damage.

How do I replace an inverter on my ULV fogger?2022-05-24T11:48:59-04:00

The inverter is placed differently base on the ULV fogger you have. Make sure that you remove the motor and hose so that you can easily replace the inverter. Please handle the wires carefully to prevent any damage.

Note: Taking a picture/video of all the parts you’ll be removing helps to make sure that you’ll be putting it back in the right place.

Open the unit, remove the hose and unplug the wires connecting the battery and PCB. Then, unscrew the battery that is attached to the motor.

Once the case is opened, locate the check valve of your unit. Move the metal clip away from the check valve using pliers, then remove it from the hose. You can clean and remove any chemical build-up on the check valve or replace it with a new one.

Once the case is opened, locate the check valve of your unit. Move the metal clip away from the check valve using pliers, then remove it from the hose. You can clean and remove any chemical build-up on the check valve or replace it with a new one.

The fuse is located at the bottom of the unit for DC20. You need to lay the unit on the side and use a flat head screwdriver to unscrew the fuse case and replace the fuse if needed.

For C100+, C150+ & C20, unplug the cord from the unit and you can use a flat-head screwdriver to open the fuse case. Remove the fuse carefully to prevent damaging the fuse case.

The DC20 PCB is located inside the unit under the handlebar so you’ll need to remove everything to reach and replace it.

For all other models, open the unit and locate the PCB near the cord socket at the rear end.

You’ll have to remove each part (check valve, motor, battery, & tank) and make sure to take a video/photo to put everything back in the right place.

After opening the unit, you will have to detach all wires carefully to remove the switch and put it back the same way to make sure it will work properly.

Please contact us and send a photo or your switch to identify if it’s a old switch version or new new one.

You will need to remove all parts to reach the switch which is located in the handlebar. Unscrew the handlebar from the inside of the case and carefully unplug all wires to replace the switch.

Note: Taking a picture/video of all the parts you’ll be removing helps to make sure that you’ll be putting it back in the right place. Also, make sure the wires are completely inside the case before you tighten the screws and reassemble the unit.

1. Once the unit is opened, detach all the hoses from the motor.
2. Remove the tank cap and pull the tank from the unit and remove all the hoses attach to the tank.

Note: Please take a photo/video to make sure that you are putting the parts back in the right place.

1. After the unit is opened, carefully cut all the cable ties attaching the hose and wires.
2. Move the metal clip away from the air nipple.

1. After the unit is opened, remove the metal clips attaching the hose to the air nipple.
2. Unscrew the air nipple that is attached to the water nipple inside the tank. Use an L shape wire/metal to take out the water nipple and return it back to its place.

The inverter is placed differently base on the ULV fogger you have. Make sure that you remove the motor, hose, and the tank. Once the inside cover is empty, unscrew the handle and the switch to unplug it from the wires.

Note: Please handle the wires carefully to prevent any damage. Taking a picture/video of all the parts you’ll be removing helps to make sure that you’ll be putting it back in the right place.

  • Check that the air cap is fully open.
  • If the weather is cold, the inside of the machine may be frozen and spraying may not be possible. Try putting it in a warm room for a few hours before using it
  • The strainer connected to the water nipple may be clogged. Submerge the strainer in chemicals you would typically use to clean the toilet or kitchen drain. Let it sit for 1 hour then rinse with clean water.
  • If you are still unable to spray, replace the check valve or contact us to completely assist you.

What do I do if the fogger can’t be switched off?2022-05-24T09:04:43-04:00

This may be caused by a faulty inverter.  Replacing the inverter should fix the problem. If it doesn’t please contact our Customer Service Team.

What do I do if the nozzle is leaking?2022-05-24T08:47:43-04:00
  • Don’t lean the machine forward, doing so will cause liquid to leak from the air cap.
  • After use, lean the machine back so the air cap points upwards and hold for 3 seconds. This will cause the remaining chemicals in the hose to be sucked into the tank.
  • If it still leaks, replace the valve, nozzle cap, and air cap.

  • Check that the air cap is fully open.

This is most likely due to the motor being on its last legs. Change the motor and your fogger should work as good as new.

Our ULV fogger rarely causes this issue. Replacing the motor should fix the problem.

Battery Operated Foggers:

  • It may have been discharged, plug it into the charger until the green light turns on

Electric Foggers:

  • Try another power cable.
  • The fuse may have burnt out. Replace the fuse and see if the fogger turns on. You can buy a fuse at any hardware store near you.

  1.  Ensure that the power cable is firmly plugged into the machine. If you have another power cable, please try to use it first.
  2.  Replace the following one at a time to ensure that they are not the problem, the power cable, Printed Circuit Board (PCB), and the motor.

Leakage can be caused by a hole or damage in the tank. You can patch a tiny hole using plastic epoxy or plastic glue. If you prefer to replace the tank, please contact us.

What types of solutions/disinfectants can we use?2022-05-24T09:28:28-04:00

You can use a majority of the solutions or disinfectants in the market. However, we highly recommend that you refrain from using those that can cause oxidation, clog the hose and check the valve or cause other issues.

Types of solutions and disinfectants we DO NOT recommend:

  • Oxygen-based
  • Flammable chemicals such as alcohol and ethanol
  • Any with a thick viscosity
  • Strong acids/strong alkali agents
  • Powder

Regardless of the solution you use, please make sure to rinse your unit every after use and don’t let the solution sit in the tank for too long.

Disclaimer: Warranty may be voided if we confirm that the main cause of the issue is due to the use of a solution/disinfectant that is not recommended or due to corrosion.
